Here is another true rarity and a fantastic album, Sangre de Conga from the Colombian group Los Kalifas on the Sonolux label. Featuring one of the most bizarre and ridiculous album covers in salsa history, all the group members posed in blackface and donned Middle Eastern head garb. Aside from the album cover sideshow, the music itself consists of several killer guaguanco and salsa tracks alongside other Colombian tunes with arrangements from Enrique Aguilar, Jorge Fernandez, Dagoberto Garcia, and the great Adolfo Castro. This album has only surfaced on Ebay a couple times from what I have observed in the last few years. Perfect for collectors, dj's, and salsa aficionados alike ... Don't miss it!!
